Technical / professional proficiency
  • Level of performance in technical / professional areas.
  • (Organizations often need individuals with specific technical / professional proficiency, e.g., welder, engineer, accountant, IT.)
Technical / professional knowledge
  • Level of understanding and ability to use technical / professional information.
  • (Organizations often need to select or promote individuals with specific target position knowledge, e.g. engineering knowledge, understanding of semi conductors, business structures, information systems.)
Machine operations meeting a certain standard
  • Experience of using certain and or specific machines and or technology.
  • (Personal computers, copy machines, bulldozers, heavy goods vehicles are examples of the types of machines that may be required by some positions. Usually, it is appropriate to define the level of operation required as part of the definition.)
Process operation
  • Starting, controlling, and concluding a complete process or procedure.
  • (Some positions require a person who knows all the steps in a specific project management, chemical, mechanical, or physical process and can accomplish those steps.)
